Monica Bellucci is all broken up about how bad The Matrix sequels are.

The Brothers Grimm

directed by Terry Gilliam (Jabberwocky)
written by Terry Gilliam (Jabberwocky), Tony Grisoni (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas), and Ehren Kruger (Reindeer Games)

produced by Daniel Bobker (The Skeleton Key) and Charles Roven (Bulletproof Monk)

starring  Matt Damon (The Bourne Supremacy), Heath Ledger (A Knight's Tale), Jonathan Pryce (De-Lovely), Lena Headey (Ripley's Game), Peter Stormare (The Tuxedo), Richard Ridings (Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life), Mackenzie Crook (The Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl), Monica Bellucci (The Matrix Revolutions)

lowdown:  Con-man brothers do some ghostbusting in 19th-century Prussia.

low expectation:
Terry Gilliam is my favorite living director.  He may not be the best but so far I haven't not loved one of his films (including the Monty Pythons) save for the mediocre Jabberwocky.  That he has so much trouble getting films made is one cinema's biggest tragedies.  His last release was over 6 years ago during which time the most depressing documentary shed light on how the picture he attempted in that time went bust.
So far The Brothers Grimm has been pushed back at least once and I hope that it does not see further problems.  At the time of my writing there is actually no set date for the film, only a hope for release in February.
I'm pretty curious how Damon and Ledger will fit into Gilliam's sense of humor.  Damon has been fairly good at a being a subtle comedic chameleon going from different corners of humor from the Farrelly's to Kevin Smith to Gus Van Sant to Soderbergh as well as being much better at drama than his buddy Benaffleck.  Ledger on the other hand needs to prove himself.

follow up:
I see why everyone thinks it is a mess, but for hardcore Gilliam fans, there is a lot of amusing bits.
